Gu Jingshen, a top investment banker, is forced by his grandfather to marry Su Wan, a dessert shop owner who agreed to the marriage to save her failing business. They made a "no-interference" pact on their wedding day, but are forced to live together due to grandpa's "cohabitation rule." Gu disdains Su's "worldly" ways, while Su mocks his "ice-cold" personality—until Gu finds that only Su's mango pancake cures his chronic insomnia, and Su learns the "life-saving orders" for her shop are Gu's secret doing. When the "contract marriage" facade crumbles, two hearts pushed by circumstance finally realize: the "forced melon" has long sweetened their souls through every little moment together.
