When cultural relic restorer Lin Wan stumbles upon a Qing Dynasty wood carving, she unexpectedly meets its creator, the ancient craftsman Shen Yan. Separated by a century, they find their every meeting is violently misaligned by time: Lin’s dawn falls on Shen’s noon, and they can only spend 15 minutes together before being torn apart by a blinding light. Using hidden patterns on the carving to send messages, they gradually discover this is not their first encounter. Centuries ago, Shen carved a wooden hairpin for Lin’s past life, and the very carving she is restoring is his final work for his long-lost love. Can this cross-temporal love, torn apart by time, finally break free from the shackles of fate?
