Lin Xiaoman, owner of a seaside homestay, lives by the "tide schedule"—a promise her boyfriend Gu Chuan left before disappearing three years ago, vowing to return. Until one day, the tides go haywire: fish die en masse, tourists cancel bookings, and her homestay teeters on the brink of collapse. Then Shen Shi, a self-proclaimed oceanographer, bursts in, revealing the abnormal tides are man-made—with clues leading to Gu Chuan’s unfinished "tidal energy project." Torn between missing Gu Chuan and doubting him, Xiaoman joins Shen Shi to uncover the truth: Gu Chuan faked his disappearance to stop villains from using the project to destroy the town.
