Then Shen Shi, a self-proclaimed oceanographer, bursts in, revealing the abnormal tides are man-made—with clues leading to Gu Chuan’s unfinished "tidal energy project." Torn between missing Gu Chuan and doubting him, Xiaoman joins Shen Shi to uncover the truth: Gu Chuan faked his disappearance to stop villains from using the project to destroy the town.
