Su Wan, a book restorer from Hangzhou, travels north to Harbin to find the Northern Song scroll *Snowy River Picture*—her missing grandfather’s final obsession. She stumbles into Lin Shen’s studio, an ice sculptor who just recreated the “lonely boat on snowy river” from the scroll. From clashing over clues to working together, they uncover her grandfather’s old promise with Lin’s father: the scroll was split—one half with Su Wan, the other in Lin’s father’s relics. When the ice sculpture glows under the polar night, they realize “northbound” is never a one-way search, but a cross-generational “meeting” across mountains and seas.
