Lin Zhao, a despised illegitimate daughter of the Marquis' family, has a unique ability: closing her eyes sends her to the "Mountain and Sea Illusion" where she sees extraordinary visions. But this gift becomes a death sentence—her father forces her to marry a dying prince in place of her legitimate sister for power, her sister hires assassins to kill her, and even the "Mr. Qingqiu" who teaches her spirit-control in the illusion appears in the Marquis' burned secret files from a decade ago. As she faces the danger of the Marquis' mansion with open eyes, she discovers the illusion's visions are linked to the mansion's destroyed past. Is her ability the cause of the disaster, or has the Marquis' sin long been hidden in the illusion's mist, waiting for her to uncover?
