Social animal Su Xiao returns home from overtime at midnight, only to face rent pressure from her landlord and a colleague stealing her client. In despair, she knocks over her great-grandmother's memorial tablet—unexpectedly awakening an ancient top-tier cultivator who attached to the tablet after a failed tribulation! The ancestor, who has slept for millennia, can't bear her descendant's suffering and uses cultivation skills to help Su Xiao counterattack: making the client-stealing colleague embarrass herself in a live stream, helping Su Xiao secure a million-dollar order. But the ancestor struggles with modern life: she uses flight to deliver documents, almost being mistaken for a UFO; she fries eggs into glowing "golden pills", causing laughs. Meanwhile, Gu Yan, Su Xiao's cold CEO boss who has long liked her, notices her sudden "luck", discovers her secret, and offers to cover for her. He uses "helping the ancestor adapt to modern life" as an excuse to visit daily. The three start a funny routine of "the ancestor causes trouble, the couple fixes it". As Su Xiao rises in her career, her sweet romance with Gu Yan heats up—yet the ancestor's unresolved tribulation crisis lurks...
