Office worker Su Xiao suffers from a rare blood disease and finally secures a scarce life-saving targeted drug, only to find the pills keep going missing inexplicably. She installs a hidden camera and catches a masked stranger sneaking into her home to steal the meds. Just as she's about to call the police, her younger sister arrives with the stranger, who turns out to be her boyfriend's adoptive father, risking everything to get medicine for his sick adopted daughter. Worse, Su Xiao is shattered to learn her sister has secretly replaced her life-saving drugs with placebos.
