Lin Wan is a ranger at Qingshan Forest Farm. Ten years ago, she promised her lover Gu Zhao, "We'll stay until the hills turn green," but Gu vanished on a rainy night. A decade later, Gu returns with an ecological restoration project, only to find Lin's heart sealed—she carved their promise on an old cypress, turning wait into an obsession with "the old love." When Gu tries to explain his forced departure, when Lin gets trapped in a rainstorm rescuing tourists, when the cypress's carved marks are covered by new bark, can they cross the ten-year gap and retrieve their unfulfilled "heart promise" deep in the green hills?
