Lin Xia, an emergency department doctor, takes a flight to visit her long-distance boyfriend during her vacation, only to find the elderly passenger next to her suffering a sudden myocardial infarction. She rushes over immediately but discovers her emergency kit was checked in— the plane's basic equipment can't perform the critical defibrillation. Passengers start accusing her of "turning a blind eye to someone in need", some even pulling out phones to record. While enduring the doubts, Lin Xia does chest compressions with her limited knowledge and asks the flight attendants to contact ground medical guidance—she can't let the regret of failing to save her father three years ago happen again.
