But Lu Zhao suddenly vanished. Two years later, Lin Wan saw him at a space exhibition, holding a stranger’s hand with a child beside them. She crumpled their old star map in despair, only to find the truth in Lu Zhao’s old computer: the woman was his fallen comrade’s widow, the child was the comrade’s, and Lu Zhao himself had terminal illness—he’d faked the "betrayal" to spare her pain. When Lin Wan activated Lu Zhao’s leftover star program, the planetarium’s dome lit up with the "Wan Zhao Star"—but Lu Zhao was already gone.
