On a quiet late-night rooftop, Lin Xing, clad in a well-worn hoodie, tugs fiercely at its neck drawstring while gazing at the full moon. She is spotted by Shen Yan, a passing photography student. Curious, Shen Yan notices Lin repeats this odd ritual every full moon. Under his prodding, Lin reveals her childhood belief: "Pulling the moon will keep those you love from leaving". A boy who saved her years ago once said he’d go "pluck the moon" to chase his dreams, then vanished without a trace. Lin has tied all her lingering longing to the drawstring, until Shen Yan stumbles on a dusty childhood keepsake linked to her.
