In the 1960s Kowloon Walled City, a labyrinthine slum where triads rule, newly arrived doctor Chan Yong-ren gets entangled in gang wars and develops a forbidden romance with Ah-yan, daughter of the local crime lord. When his undercover police identity is exposed, he must choose between justice and survival. As triads, British police and local merchants clash, a storm is brewing that will change the walled city forever.
