Lin Xia, the "iron-faced commander" of the fire brigade, broke up with her racer boyfriend Lu Zhao three years ago due to a misunderstanding. Their reunion occurs during a chemical plant fire rescue—Lu Zhao, once rebellious, now charges forward in a protective suit as a volunteer. When he shields Lin Xia from danger, their old couple's necklace falls out—what Lin Xia never told him is that she's spent three years struggling with insomnia, staring at the race car model he gave her every night. As an explosion warning blares, Lu Zhao insists on shutting the valve alone. Lin Xia barks "Retreat!" through gritted teeth, but the second he turns, she grabs her gear and follows: "I'm the commander—I have to finish this with you. And I never let you go." As flames close in, their heartbeats sync with the alarm. This time, they're betting on two things: surviving the mission, and rekindling the love they lost.
