When Su Wan unexpectedly inherits her grandmother's old courtyard 'Courtyard of Spring', she runs into architect Lu Jingsheng surveying the land for a development bid. Clashing over its ownership, they are forced to live in adjacent spaces. Their initial dislike fades as they bond: Su protects ancient trees while Lu repairs the leaky wing. An old letter reveals a promise between their parents, showing their fateful first meeting was fate's trick. They join hands to guard the courtyard, and love blooms.
