Lin Chuan, just released from prison, is determined to start fresh but finds Su Wan, a cold-aloof woman with amnesia and injuries, under a bridge. Su Wan is as tough as ice but is plagued by nightmares every night, repeatedly screaming "Don't kill him" in her sleep. Lin Chuan works odd jobs to cover her medical expenses while hiding his past—he was once a renowned "golden bodyguard," but a mission failure led to the disappearance of his employer (Su Wan's brother) and his eventual imprisonment. Over time, Su Wan grows dependent on Lin Chuan, but when she regains her memory, she immediately identifies him as the "one who made her brother vanish," shattering the warmth they've built. Just then, the mysterious organization that chased Su Wan years ago reappears. Lin Chuan must confront his sins while fighting to protect the woman he "picked up"…
