After binging a hit mother-in-law and daughter-in-law drama novel late one night, ordinary office worker Lin Wan wakes up to find she’s transmigrated into the role of the book’s vicious, demanding mother-in-law. In the original plot, her daughter-in-law will eventually divorce her son and she’ll end up lonely and neglected in her old age. Determined to avoid this tragic fate, Lin Wan immediately drops her sharp-tongued, mean demeanor and starts doting on her daughter-in-law: cooking her favorite meals, taking over housework and spoiling her endlessly. But instead of being grateful, the daughter-in-law panics, convinced the mother-in-law is hiding a terminal illness or plotting a secret scheme.
