Ordinary office worker Lin Mo accidentally stumbles upon a spacetime portal linking modern city and the market of the Ming Dynasty. He makes a fortune by smuggling cheap daily necessities and small electronic gadgets to ancient China, then resells ancient calligraphy and spices in modern times. Just as he plans to lie low and get rich overnight, trouble strikes: corrupt officials in the Ming Dynasty want to seize his supply chain, while modern loan sharks target his "unexplained wealth". Worse, his roommate discovers his secret. To survive, Mo must juggle dealing with local thugs and merchants in the Ming Dynasty and covering up his spacetime secret, pushing his cross-world peddler life into a tight spot.
