Gu Shen, a rigid botanical garden researcher, clashes fiercely with Su Wan, a vibrant floral designer hired by a developer for a spring flower show—she wants to cut down the century-old cherry tree (which carries his late grandmother's last wish) to make space for commercial arrangements, while he stands guard like a “holdout” with a tree-measuring instrument. But as they interact, Gu Shen discovers that the cherry tree is the “soul centerpiece” of Su Wan's hidden design; Su Wan also learns that Gu Shen isn't just protecting a tree, but a promise to his grandma: “Let the cherry blossoms bloom for more people every year.” When the developer tries to cut the tree down overnight, they team up, using cherry branches collected over half a month to make light strings, turning the old tree into a glowing “spring lighthouse” that draws crowds to stop the destruction. It's then they realize: the intense love of spring is meeting someone who will stand with you, guarding the softest part of your heart—just like guarding a spring that never fades.
