Su Wan, an antique restorer, stumbles upon a Republican-era notebook while handling old items from a mansion. Every spring at 3 PM, new words emerge on its pages—diary entries from Gu Shiyan, a young master of the Republic of China, obsessed with waiting for his fiancée "A Wan". In the spring of 1937, he waited under the old locust tree at the alley for her to elope, but war trapped him in an "unfinished spring noon". When Su Wan restores the damaged pages, she finds her own photo inside. Even stranger: a man in a Republican-era long gown often visits her shop lately, always appearing at spring noon, murmuring, "I’ve waited 85 years for you." It turns out that unkept spring promise was never an end of regret, but a cross-time fate, waiting for two souls to reunite after long separation.
