Su Wan, a museum restorer, was saved by Gu Zhao in front of a Song Dynasty warrior figurine three years ago, after which Gu Zhao vanished without a trace. She kowtows to the figurine every night, clinging to the obsession of reuniting with her savior. Until one day, the figurine suddenly “comes alive” as Gu Ting—an identical copy of Gu Zhao—who claims to be the figurine’s soul and offers to help Su Wan find Gu Zhao. But Gu Ting not only shares Gu Zhao’s habits but also remembers secrets known only to the two of them. Just as Su Wan falls for Gu Ting, the museum reveals a bombshell: the warrior figurine is a modern replica with no ancient soul—Is Gu Ting Gu Zhao’s “rebirth,” or a carefully plotted scheme?
