Lin Mo, a former simultaneous interpreter, quits her high-paying job after a major mistake, escaping to a small seaside town to heal her trauma. She moves into an old bookstore run by Lu Ye, a talkative yet warm owner who spends summer afternoons on a rattan chair, sipping lemon tea and reading old books. Initially curious about her silence, Lu Ye witnesses her breakdown one day and slowly breaks through her emotional walls. As they draw closer amid summer cicadas and ocean waves, Lin Mo realizes that quitting her job is not escape, but a journey to meet the summer—and herself—again.
