She meets General Gu Zhao, the author of the ode, and learns his true motive—not to praise military glory, but to find the girl who saved him on the battlefield years ago. To her shock, the family heirloom jade pendant she carries is exactly the token the general has been searching for. As they unravel the past, Lin Wan falls for the loyal, tender general, yet the barrier of time threatens to tear them apart. Can this millennia-spanning bond break the chains of fate?
