Cold-hearted jeweler Gu Ze takes in struggling painter Su Wan as a maid, unaware she's his amnesiac lover who saved him in a car accident three years prior. When her paintings eerily recreate his recurring dreams of starry skies, the truth explodes and Su vanishes. Frantically searching the city, Gu discovers every canvas hides fragments of their lost love story. He finally realizes her cruel farewell was the ultimate sacrifice: letting him traverse her fading world so he could remember how to live.
