In the remote mountain village of Kaoshan, Lin Gouzi is known as the local fool, a doormat who is bullied and teased by everyone, even joked about by the village widows. What no one knows is that he is the heir of a century-forgotten immortal medical sect, who has been feigning foolishness to evade his vengeful enemies. When the village doctor died suddenly and a plague swept the village, Lin finally awakened his peerless medical skills. He quickly contained the plague with simple herbal remedies, transforming from a laughingstock to the village's savior overnight.
