Su Xiaoman, a "workaholic" emergency nurse, was supposed to get engaged to Gu Jingshen, the "iceberg lawyer." But her grandma messed up the engagement red string—tying it to Gu Chuan, Gu Jingshen’s uncle and a dessert shop owner just back from abroad. They clashed at first: Su Xiaoman complained Gu Chuan’s desserts were "too sweet to handle," while Gu Chuan teased her for wearing her nurse uniform "like a block of ice." But as they spent time together, Gu Chuan would wait outside the hospital with hot taro puree after her night shifts, and she would secretly design first-aid kits for his shop. On the other side, Gu Jingshen unexpectedly became a "stray cat rescue partner" with Su Xiaoman’s best friend Lin Xiaoqing, a sharp-tongued vet—going from mutual disdain to feeding strays together. What started as a "mistake" turned out to be a sweeter fate than any "arranged engagement."
