Chef Zhang, inheritor of a century-old secret soup recipe (his life's work), is framed and driven out by his greedy apprentice and the apprentice's wife for just 3,000 yuan. With no way out, he sets up a humble street stall. Using half a jar of his family's old soup, he crafts mouthwatering dishes that win diners' hearts across the city. Sycophants beg for his help, while the betrayers fight over the recipe and end up with nothing. Chef Zhang finds true love in ordinary food stalls, realizing the real taste of life lies in craftsmanship and human kindness.
