Lin Shen, a boy from Banhe Village, was chased out at 18, spat on by villagers because his father was framed for "deforestation and land grabbing". Over ten years, he went from carrying bricks on construction sites to becoming the CEO of a cultural tourism group. Now he’s back with a "rural revitalization" project—determined to clear his father’s name and retrieve his ancestral land stolen by village tyrant Zhou Fugui. But he never expected to meet Su Xiaotang, the village flower who secretly gave him her savings years ago. Now she’s a primary school teacher, wielding a hoe to stop Zhou from demolishing the old ancestral hall for a pig farm. When the "revengeful returnee" clashes with the "stubborn guardian", and when old injustices collide with profit-driven destruction, Lin Shen realizes: his real fight isn’t for vengeance—it’s for a future where Banhe Village never loses its roots.
