Su Ou, a fairy guarding the lotus roots in the Heavenly Lake, saved Gu Zhao, a wronged mortal general, with the "Lotus Silk Thread" out of kindness—only to be framed by the steward fairy for "fraternizing with mortals." She had her immortal bones stripped and was banished to reincarnation. Unbeknownst to her, Gu Zhao was a former War God who fell into the mortal realm after an ambush. Upon regaining his memories, he shattered the Heavenly barrier, vowing to find Su Ou: to expose the fairy's hypocrisy and rekindle the broken lotus silk bond between immortal and mortal. When the lotus fairy's tenderness meets the War God's mad devotion, this forbidden love across realms will finally achieve a "lotus root broken but silk connected" happy ending through face-slapping and defeating villains.
