Ordinary Earth youth Lin Bei is abducted to a desolate alien star by interstellar forces eyeing Earth, expecting to be a test subject. In despair, he casually buries a seed he carries and grows the first fresh vegetable on the planet. The vegetable with Earth's vitality revives the barren soil and throws the interstellar forces planning to destroy Earth into chaos—this cross-stellar crop holds Earth's survival secrets, which would rewrite the universe pattern once leaked. Cornered, Lin Bei opens a small restaurant on the alien star with Earth's cuisine, attracting alien diners but also pursuit, surveillance and exploitation. He relies on agronomic knowledge to survive while secretly guarding Earth's secrets.
