Old Zhou is kicked out by his unfilial son Qiang with nothing, even no clean clothes to change. Remembering the ginseng-hunting secrets he learned from his ancestors in childhood, he heads to the Changbai Mountains with his last savings. In the deep mountains, he follows his ancestors' experience to find ginseng, risks his life to hunt treasure, and surprisingly discovers thousand-year-old ginseng and wild ginseng forests, getting rich overnight. After returning, he stops spoiling his son and publicly humiliates the ungrateful Qiang with a huge sum of money, then starts a completely different late life with Xiaona, a forest ranger he met during the trip.
