On a rainstorm night, Lin Wan, a new职场 employee, stumbles into a suburban villa to take shelter. The owner, Chen Mo, is a dull man mocked by neighbors as a “coward”. But when a landslide seals the villa’s gate shut,留宿 guests start dying in bizarre ways—one drowned in the bathtub with sewn lips, another hanged in the stairwell with their tongue cut out. Lin Wan notices clues pointing to Chen Mo, who “wouldn’t even step on an ant”. When she catches Chen Mo dissecting a body in the basement, the “coward” finally shows his true colors: he’d been pretending for years to hide from school bullying and workplace abuse, and now wants all “those who looked down on him” to feel “the fear of being ignored”.
