Su Wan, an architect framed for plagiarism, hides in an old fireworks workshop in the old town during her darkest hour—only to stumble into Gu Chuan's closed world. Once a firefighter, Gu has been trapped in survivor's guilt since losing his comrade in a mission, using fireworks to mourn. Su helps him restore the workshop's aged brick building; he lights up her late-night design drafts with custom fireworks. When clues to the plagiarism scandal lead back to the fire Gu witnessed five years ago, they realize their fates have been tangled by the same hidden hand. Will they face the past or run from their scars? A redemption-themed "fireworks pact" burns quietly in the city where morning mist lingers.
