A talented modern woman travels to ancient China and becomes a down-and-out female scholar at the Imperial Academy. Accidentally, her inner voice leaks uncontrollably. The once-arrogant noble lads in the capital, who only knew cockfighting and pleasure-seeking, soon learn her true complaints about their idleness and fear being criticized. To avoid being scolded and save their family faces, they give up entertainment, study hard day and night, and even try to please her secretly. The cold-faced imperial supervisor notices their oddness, observes them in secret, is amused by these contrasting lads, and is touched by the scholar’s frankness. A hilarious ancient romance of counterattack unfolds.
