Lin Wan, a Wall Street-returned investment tycoon, returns to China to acquire the old business district adjacent to her alma mater. There, she reunites with Su Jingchuan—her first love who vanished without a trace ten years ago—now a "stubborn" senior clinging to an old bookstore. A decade prior, Lin Wan, a bullied transfer student, found solace in Su Jingchuan's warmth during that midsummer, only for him to disappear right before the college entrance exam. Today, she's a ruthless business executive, while he's a "holdout" determined to protect the old district. Amid the conflict between her acquisition plan and his guardianship, the truth of his disappearance emerges: he took the blame for a school bullying incident to protect her. Will their opposing stances and lingering feelings mend their past and rekindle the summer they lost?
