Lin Xiaoman grew up with her mother, who passed away leaving only the three words "daylily". To fulfill her mother's last wish, she quits her big-city job and returns home, only to be drawn into a heritage dispute—her mother left an old house, but Shen Yan, a "distant relative", shows up with the property certificate to claim it. From conflicting to collaborating, they uncover that her mother's "death" hides the truth of being trafficked years ago, and Shen Yan is the little boy her mother saved 20 years ago, now back to repay the kindness. When the daylilies in the old house's backyard finally bloom, they not only heal her mother's regret but also find a deep love that transcends time.
