Lin Wan, a young designer, accidentally offends the overbearing CEO Gu Jingshen and fears her career is over—until Gu’s 5-year-old son Gu Xiaotang clings to her, calling her “future mom” while holding a lollipop. The little cutie secretly “assists” her: tricking her into Gu’s office for “chance meetings”, praising her cakes as “better than Michelin” in front of Gu, and even digging out an old photo Gu has hidden for three years (it’s Lin Wan’s back when she saved Xiaotang three years ago). Lin Wan gradually realizes that Gu, though cold on the surface, hides an old affection for her; and Xiaotang’s “help” is actually to reunite the two who separated due to a misunderstanding three years ago. When the CEO starts making moves in return, and the little kid’s secret is uncovered, who will let their guard down first in this sweet game of mutual pursuit?
