On an old city street, Uncle Zhang, a snack shop owner with a decade-long business, is forced to move by his landlord’s malicious rent hike — the landlord covets the prime spot to open a fast-food chain. With help from a warm-hearted female customer, the remote alley where Zhang’s shop stood is discovered for its unique old flavors, blowing up as a viral check-in spot and drawing crowds to the landlord’s vacant store. Deprived of natural foot traffic, the chain store fails to make profits and has to pay 380,000 in breach compensation. The landlord reaps what he sows, while Uncle Zhang gains an unexpected romance.
