A cold and aloof ancient-style sword master, to fend off his sect's forced marriage, hires a muscular demoness infamous for ferocity to pretend as his Taoist partner. At the start of their contract, they can't stand each other. The sword master tries to assert his authority but gets "slapped in the face" repeatedly by the demoness's straight punches. Gradually, his icy shell breaks, and he unexpectedly falls for this demoness who only punches him and has no gimmicks. What starts as an employment deal turns into a sweet daily life of squabbling and mutual affection, with hidden sectarian crises looming.
