Lin Chuan, a modern corporate slave, was working overtime on a proposal when he suddenly traveled to the famine year of an alternate dynasty and bound to the "Famine Redemption System"—he needs to exchange 100 steamed buns for 100 pieces of trust to return to reality. But when he checks his system backpack, only one moldy steamed bun remains. At that moment, a blind fugitive girl named A Zhao faints at his feet. Lin Chuan, acting on impulse, feeds her the bun. To his surprise, this act not only triggers a hidden system mission but also uncovers a past-life secret: A Zhao was the princess consort he betrayed due to power struggles in his previous life, and this famine year is their "karmic tribulation". Now, Lin Chuan must find food to survive in a land of starving people, help A Zhao regain her sight, and unravel the system's truth—"using buns to redeem past-life regrets". Is this steamed bun a lifesaver, or a "love token" that connects them across time and space?
