Lin Xiaoman, a down-and-out office worker who just lost her job and got dumped, suddenly learns of her grandmother's death and inherits a run-down apartment in the old town. Thinking it's a burden, she's shocked to find her tenants are all hidden cultivation grandmasters— the uncle in a floral shirt is a hermit Sword Sage, the sweet soup-selling grandma is an ancient Medicine Immortal, and even the delivery guy hides top-tier talismans! When a realtor tries to force her to sell and her ex-boyfriend shows up with his new girlfriend to mock her, her 'ordinary' tenants suddenly reveal their identities and slap the jerks until they cry! But just as Lin Xiaoman thinks she's hit the jackpot, the spiritual vein under the apartment stirs, and her grandmother's diary holds a bigger secret— she is the 'chosen one' to protect the apartment?
