Li Xiaoyu, a quiet office worker, is cheated on by his ex and fired. Drowning his sorrows, he finds a tattered fan marked "Dragon Subduer." A shake summons fried chicken—only for it to turn into cilantro (his worst fear)! Then a ragged monk in flip-flops bursts in yelling: "You’ve stolen my identity as the Dragon Subduer Arhat!" Turns out the fan is the real Dragon Subduer’s "karma tool," and Li is now an "imposter" who must defeat urban "demons" (greedy bosses, fraudsters, hypocrites) to break the curse. Using his "glitchy magic," he turns his boss’s contract into a "100-year voluntary overtime clause" and his rival’s luxury bag into a shared cloth tote. Amidst hilarious chaos, Li discovers the "demons" are just human flaws—and his kindness and courage are the true magic. He gets revenge, revives his career, wins a sweet neighbor’s heart, and even rooms with the real Dragon Subduer!
