Lin Xiaoman and her husband Chen Mo move into an old house called "Ember House", only to encounter a series of oddities: the previous owner's old diary, Chen Mo's trance-like stares at the balcony, and a mysterious contact named "Ah Tang" on his phone. When she finds an old photo of three people in the attic and fears their marriage is in crisis, the truth behind "Ember House" unfolds—"Ah Tang" is Chen Mo's late sister, who died saving him from a fire, and the house is her legacy. Chen Mo's strangeness? He was quietly repairing his sister's old belongings, wanting to turn "Ember House" into a home that holds both their pasts and future. When all secrets are laid bare, the couple sits on the balcony with the sister's diary, realizing that what's in the "ember" isn't ashes, but unspoken love and the courage to face everything together.
