Lin Chuan, a modern food delivery rider, accidentally opens the "Food Gate" connecting to an ancient famine realm one night. There, he finds his wife Su Xiao—trapped in the starvation-ravaged Yunhuang Realm due to a space-time glitch, and only modern steamed buns (with "human warmth") can delay her "Food Calamity" (a curse that kills her if she eats ancient food). To keep her alive, Lin grinds day and night: working 18 hours as a rider to buy buns, then sneaking across with crates of buns at midnight. But each trip costs him his lifespan, and he must evade the Yunhuang landlord's grain snatchers. When Su Xiao's countdown to death hits 7 days, the "life-saving pill" Lin hid in the buns gets stolen. Can he save his wife with just one last warm bun?
