Famous cartoonist Shen Yan's serialized serial murder comics perfectly match the details of consecutive real-life homicides. Criminal captain Lu Chen leads the investigation, only to find that the modus operandi of each case accurately corresponds to Shen Yan's unpublished comic storyboards. As the investigation deepens, the shadow of a 10-year-old old case gradually emerges, and Shen Yan's dusty past is uncovered. When the victim in the last page of the comic points to Lu Chen's fiancée, this murder maze manipulated by brushes finally ushers in its final ending.
