This 25-episode rural micro-drama focuses on late-life love. Seventy-two-year-old retired teacher Li Shoutian and 68-year-old village doctor Zhang Guilan were separated by family obstacles in their youth. They reunite after returning to their hometown Qingzhu Village. Facing their children’s criticism and villagers’ gossip, the pair never give up on their romance. They tend a vegetable garden together, lend a hand to fellow villagers, and break through prejudice with their mutual care. In the finale, they hold a long-overdue wedding blessed by the entire village.
