Chu Heng, the third prince of Dajing, was exiled to the border for taking the "treason" blame for the late emperor. For three years, he led frontier troops to crush the Hu rebellion and guard the kingdom, yet he was reviled as an "unrepentant rebellious son" by the court. When he returned to the capital, the empress and his crown prince brother not only stole his merit for quelling the rebellion but also tried to kill him for "colluding with enemies." At this critical moment, Shen Zhaozhao, the prime minister's daughter who had been secretly aiding him, appeared with the late emperor's will—revealing Chu Heng was the rightful heir! From then on, Chu Heng stopped hiding. While using his wit to expose the hypocrites, he fell in love with Shen Zhaozhao from "secret allies" to "mutual lovers." In the palace intrigue, he made a stunning comeback, making those who stole his merit watch him take back everything that belonged to him, full of satisfaction!
