Lin Xiaoman, a research institute assistant, is drawn into a conspiracy behind the "Youth Secret Formula" her mother was studying after her mother’s mysterious death. To her horror, her former best friend colluded with a hypocritical boss to steal her mother’s work—using a fake formula to swindle wealthy women and even orchestrate her mother’s murder. Transforming from an invisible nobody, Lin infiltrates the villains to gather evidence while unraveling the genetic secrets of the formula. Finally, she exposes the "eternal youth" scam, brings the wrongdoers to justice, fulfills her mother’s uncompleted justice, and rediscovers her scientific初心 (original intention for research).
