Su Xiaoman, the "pancake beauty" of the old alley breakfast shop, breaks into a top investment bank interview to raise money for her grandma's surgery—only to crash into the arms of Gu Shiyan, her long-lost childhood sweetheart. The once crybaby who fought her for pancakes is now a ruthless investment bank CEO. Gu Shiyan ties her to him as a "special assistant", secretly solving her problems while using old candy wrappers to test her feelings. From being distant toward the "CEO childhood friend", Su Xiaoman gradually discovers his softness hidden under the suit—he went abroad years ago just to save money for the glass candy jar she wanted as a kid. When the scent of old alley pancakes meets office coffee, the two, who missed each other for years, finally find their "first sweetness" in each other's lips.
