Lin Xiaoman, a workplace nobody, loses her job for taking the blame for her best friend and is in despair when her mother is hospitalized with a serious illness. She accidentally breaks into the office of Lu Jinshen, CEO of "Yellow Spring Group"—a man rumored to be "as cold as the Yama of the Yellow Spring." To her shock, Lu immediately recognizes her as the one who saved him five years ago. Using "repaying a debt" as an excuse, Lu keeps Xiaoman as his assistant and secretly helps her with medical bills, confronts the green-tea friend, and reclaims her former position. Xiaoman goes from resistance to discovering his hidden tenderness: ginger tea during overtime, standing up for her when she's bullied—her heart gradually melts. But just as she's about to confess her feelings, Lu suddenly disappears, leaving only a letter saying "I need to resolve the hidden danger from years ago." It turns out "Yellow Spring Group" holds the secret of his family's past crisis, and his departure is to give her a future without any worries.
