Lin Chuan, a courier, was fired for exposing his boss's corruption. His girlfriend dumped him for a rich second-generation guy because of his poverty, and he couldn't even afford rent. Then he met a dying old Taoist on the overpass—who gave him a jade pendant carved with runes, saying he was the reincarnation of a "nine-life immortal root". Overnight, Lin Chuan awakened clairvoyance and the ability to control objects. He not only exposed his boss's corruption on the spot but also saved a girl harassed by the rich second-gen. But before he could catch his breath, a group of men in black suits showed up, claiming to "take back the immortal heritage". When an ordinary office worker suddenly becomes an "immortal", is it a blessing or a curse? In the satisfying plot of slapping faces and punishing scumbags, there's a shocking secret between the immortal and mortal worlds.
